The Observer’s Notebooks are a series of cloth-bound journals that I created with Princeton Architectural Press. Each notebook contains 16 illustrated informational pages on a specific subject. After the success of the initial notebooks, Trees and Astronomy, I expanded the series to 6 unique subjects. The illustrations are a mix of repurposed historical ephemera, and hand-drawn diagrams. Each notebook signature contains a different format of note paper, inspired by the design of historical ledger books.
